09/03/20 - Out On Loan - Written by Lewis Browning Welcome to ‘Out On Loan’, a feature published every Monday where we catch up on how those out on loan from Gillingham’s men’s team got on over the previous week. Another seven days of football have been and gone and it was a mixed week for our loan boys. We had victories, defeats, a few draws, and even some hammerings. There are seven players to check out; we begin in League Two. Ouss Cissé Ouss would have been itching to get back out on the pitch on Saturday after Leyton Orient’s  match against Forest Green the previous week was postponed thanks to the weather. As he has been doing of late, the big midfielder started his Orient’s fixture at home to Cambridge on Saturday and saw out the 90 minutes, helping his side to a 2-1 victory in the process. Another week of football has been and gone, and, as ever, it was jampacked was action all over the country. Allow us to catch up on how the men Gillingham have sent out on loan got on over the last seven days. There are six players to check out, and, this week, we start in League Two. Ouss Ciss é Cissé has already started more league games for Leyton Orient this season than he did for Gillingham and the big midfielder is loving life at Brisbane Road. He picked up another 90 minutes on Saturday afternoon and it had seemed he’d helped his new side to a much-needed three points against Macclesfield as they look to steer themselves well away from the League Two relegation spot. Another week of football has passed by, although, this time, Gillingham’s men weren’t in action at the weekend due to the removal of Bury from the Football League – the team the Gills were supposed to face. There was, however, football elsewhere, and plenty more earleir in the week. There are six players to check out in this week’s ‘Out On Loan’, and we start up in Scotland. Lee Hodson Northern Irishman Hodson returned to old club St. Mirren on the penultimate day of the January transfer window due to a lack of first team football at Gillingham.
